Quotations

Edit or resend a sent quotation

Change a quotation you already sent, or send it to the client again. This guide shows both, and when a quotation can no longer be edited.

Updated August 2026

After you send a quotation, you might need to fix a price or send the client another copy. You do both from the Quotations page. This guide walks you through it from login.

Resend a quotation

Use this when the quotation is right but the client needs it again.

  1. Log in to your workspace.
  2. In the left menu, under Finance, click Quotations.
  3. Find the quotation and click the three dots on its row.
  4. Click Resend.

The client gets the same quotation by email again, with a fresh link to review and accept it. Nothing about the quotation changes.

Edit a quotation

Use this when something on the quotation is wrong.

  1. On the quotation's row, click the three dots, then click Edit.
  2. Change the lines, the amounts, the dates, or the terms.
  3. Click Preview quotation, check it, then Save changes.

Because a quotation is an offer and not yet in your books, it is updated in place and keeps its number. The client sees the corrected version.

Important

You can edit a quotation while it is still sent, meaning the client has not acted on it yet. Once a quotation is accepted, declined, or turned into an invoice, it is locked so the record of what was agreed cannot change. To offer something different at that point, create a new quotation.

Which one do I need?

  • Client lost the email, quote is fine: Resend.
  • Wrong price or detail, not accepted yet: Edit.
  • Already accepted or invoiced: create a new quotation instead.

See Quotation statuses explained to understand what each status means.
