What the receivables aging report is
Receivables are the invoices your clients have not paid yet. The Receivables report gathers every one of them and sorts them by how long they have been overdue, so you can see at a glance who is late and by how much. It is your chasing list.
Everything on this page is worked out as of today, each time you open it. There is no period picker, because the point of the report is your position right now.
Open the report

- Log in to your workspace.
- In the left menu, under Finance, click Your Accounts.
- In the accounts menu, under Billing, click Receivables.
The four tiles

- Total outstanding is all the money still owed to you across every unpaid invoice.
- Overdue is the part of that which is past its due date. It turns red when there is anything overdue.
- Current (not due) is the part that is owed but not yet late.
- 90+ days is the money that has been overdue for more than ninety days, your hardest debt. It turns red when there is any.
The age buckets
The Receivables by age bar and the Aging table split every unpaid invoice into five buckets, based on how many days past its due date it is:
- Current is not yet due.
- 1–30 days overdue.
- 31–60 days overdue.
- 61–90 days overdue.
- 90+ days overdue.
An invoice moves from one bucket to the next as time passes, so an invoice you saw in 1–30 days last month may be in 31–60 days now if it is still unpaid.
The aging table

The Aging table lists each unpaid invoice, with the most overdue at the top:
- Invoice is the invoice number.
- Client is who owes it.
- Due is the date payment was due.
- Outstanding is the amount still unpaid. If a client has part-paid, only the remaining balance shows here.
- Days overdue is how many days past the due date it is. A dash means it is not due yet.
- Bucket is which age band it falls in.
Only sent invoices with money still owing appear. A draft invoice is not counted, and as soon as an invoice is paid in full it drops off the list.
Turning the list into action
Use the table as your call list, starting from the top. When a client pays, record it and the invoice leaves this report. See how to record a payment. To send one client a full account of what they owe, see read a customer statement.
Export it
Use the CSV, Excel or PDF buttons at the top of the page to download the current aging list, for example to share with a colleague who is doing the chasing.
Note
Your Accounts, including this report, is only available to the firm owner. See who can create invoices and record payments.
