How the Corporate Tax worksheet is worked out
The Corporate Tax worksheet is built line by line from your own books, from revenue down to the tax payable across the 0% and 9% bands. Here is how each line is worked out.
Elect Small Business Relief
If your revenue is AED 3,000,000 or less, you can elect Small Business Relief and be treated as having no taxable income, so no Corporate Tax is due. Here is how to elect it.
Why Small Business Relief did not apply
You ticked Elect Small Business Relief but an amber banner says it does not apply. There are only two reasons: your revenue is too high, or the period ends too late. Here is what to check.
Enter tax adjustments (add-backs and deductions)
Use the Tax adjustments field to add back non-deductible costs or subtract deductions, so your taxable income is right before the 9% is worked out.
Pick the financial year and see the CT due date
Pick the financial year on the Corporate Tax page to switch the worksheet, tell an in-progress year from a completed one, and see the 9-months-after-year-end due date.
Corporate Tax needs your books switched on
The Corporate Tax page needs your ledger switched on, because it builds the worksheet from your books. Here is why you see a 'books not ready' message and how to fix it.
